RENTAL POLICY & HOUSE RULES
You’ll have an amazing time located super close to everything: skiing, hiking, putt-putt, restaurants, brewery, biking, boating, and more!
To ensure your safety and the safety of all guests, we ask that you read and agree to the following rental policy rules prior to booking. Thank you and we hope you have an awesome stay! And as always, if you need anything or see any maintenance issues when you arrive, please notify us ASAP so we can make sure we take care of them for you!
House Rules
- All guests must be 25 or older (except families traveling with kids) Sorry, kids, this isn’t the party palace!
- No Smoking in the house. None! If you smoke outside, please pick up your butts before you leave.
- Please turn off the fireplaces, lights, and TVs when you head out for meals or fun at the lake!
- No events or parties are allowed; sorry, have fun, just not wild and destructive fun!
- Quiet hours are from 11 pm to 7 am (community rules, not ours)!
- No shoes in the house, please!
- Please don’t steal our stuff; we know it’s nice, but please leave the decor, games, and other cool stuff for the next guests to enjoy too!
- Do not exceed the maximum number of guests allowed.
- Please respect check-in and check-out times (10AM check-out and 3PM check-in unless otherwise specified).
- Please take extra care of your keys. Lost keys incur a replacement fee.
- Please don’t rearrange the furniture.
- Please bring an SUV if you are coming in the winter. The driveways are plowed when there are 3 inches or more, and it’s much colder at the lake than where you are likely coming from, so we will have more snow, ice, and cold than you may be used to.
- No more than 2 dogs are permitted, and PLEASE take your poop with you or place it in the outside trash receptacle. If we have to clean up poop, you’ll be assigned a $100 cleanup fee.
- Do not flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilets. The house is on a septic system that can clog or backup with even flushable wipes and other items other than toilet paper.
Guest Safety
We are committed to your safety. Please be aware of the following safety mechanisms and considerations prior to booking:
- A carbon monoxide detector is installed on-premises
- Smoke alarms are installed.
- Exterior security cameras are installed.
- Guests may need to climb stairs. Although there is a basement / ground-level entrance, there is a front stair and back stair entrance to access the first floor without a ramp.
- The hot tub does not have a gate or lock. Please monitor all children closely near the hot tub. Do not submerge your head in the hot tub or put any hair close to intake drains.
- Children should never be allowed to enter the hot tub without an adult present.
- We have an instant heating water system, which can heat up showers to a very high temperature. Be careful when turning on hot water in showers and other locations.
Check-out Procedures
Please follow the checkout instructions below. We understand accidents happen. Please be honest with us, as extra cleaning or repairs may require an additional charge from our cleaners and maintenance folks, we must pass that cost onto you.
- Gather used towels and sheets and place them on the floor in the room where they belong.
- Return all moved furniture to its original location.
- Take out all trash to the trashcans at end of driveway and securely latch the bear dens around the trash cans.
- Turn off all lights and fireplaces.
- Set heat to 65 in winter, 71 cooling in summer.
- Lock up all doors (front door, basement front door, back doors on deck).
- Return any keys to lockbox or key locations. Lost keys may incur a $50 fee. (You likely will not need keys, as we have a digital keypad entry)
- Put dirty dishes in dishwasher and run it.
- Turn hot tub down to 85 degrees.
- Clean up all poop if you brought pets. Poop left on the property will incur a $100 fee.
Violation of Rental Policy and House Rules
Any violation of the house rules will be subject to a fine. We have amazing property management who document any issues with photos, and we will send upon the completion of a rental to request additional payment if the property is damaged. Damages assessed by our property management company with photos will be assessed and an invoice will be sent to the primary on the rental invoice and agreement.
Rental Terms
We require 50% payment for your stay upfront, and 100% payment 14 days from the date of your rental. If booking within 14 days of travel, 100% payment will be required upfront. We can provide 100% refund up to 10 days prior to your rental and 50% up to 5 days prior to your rental. All attempts will be made to refund you in the same method that you paid us.
